Once Upon A Time In The West (El Rancho)
DESCRIPTION
In his ongoing series 'Once Upon A Time In The West', artist Travis Schneider documents personal landmarks along the road between his two home towns. Driving back and forth between Los Angeles and Sun Valley, Idaho since he was 5, these old signs signaled his distance from home. The stack of wood is home.

“I shoot Polaroids because they're unpredictable. I never know what they're actually going to look like. In our digital age with too much control and ease, losing control and being surprised by the result of an artistic and chemical process feels like Christmas morning to me."
