In Tappan's latest exhibition, VANTAGE, the works consider perspective not simply as a way of seeing, but as something formed through lived experience. Shaped by memory, migration, culture, and place, each artist examines the evolving relationship between self and the environments—both physical and emotional—that define us.
Across a range of contemporary practices, the exhibition presents identity as fluid, layered, and continually negotiated. Rather than offering a singular perspective, VANTAGE embraces the multiplicity of contemporary experience, presenting perspectives united by a shared investigation into perception and place. In doing so, the exhibition positions lived experience not only as subject matter, but as a lens through which artists expand our understanding of identity, connection, and the contemporary condition.
