In this series, The Heidies propose a story of transformation. Staged on a symbolic set created with raw material including fabric, paper and painting, the duo’s imagery portrays a figure hiding in plain sight while eluding to imaginary freedom and escape.

This 4th of July we’re reflecting on how to bring America together through acknowledgement and education. Artists have always had a way of expressing the past that helps us understand much more than what most history books reflect. Outside of representation, we want to work toward a more inclusive future by donating 10% of proceeds to Facing History, a non-profit that helps educators create curriculum that circles around helping students gain the skills to be empathetic members of society who are civically engaged. Until July 8th consider supporting our emerging artists and educators working to get students involved in their communities. Giveback runs June 30 - July 8.
