Alexandria Coe
Painting
b. 1990, Essex, United kingdom
Lives and works in Athens, Greece
Alexandria Coe is an artist known for her refined yet expressive approach to figure drawing, working fluidly across drawing, painting, and textiles. After studying Textile Design at Chelsea College of Art and completing a Master’s in Communication at Central Saint Martins, she shifted her focus to drawing as a primary mode of expression.
For the past seven years, Coe has explored the intersection of the body, art, and design, developing a practice rooted in gesture, minimalism, and emotional resonance. Coe's work often centers on the nude figure—typically drawn from life—and is characterized by abstraction and reduction. Through this minimalist lens, Coe seeks to redefine the portrayal of the female body, offering a perspective that is both intimate and intentionally neutral.
