DESCRIPTION

 Archival pigment print | 2018

This series of works explores the complexities of nature, emulating its beauty as a form of meditation. Culver draws lines that mimic organic matter in a new and inspiring way. The works act as a mirror to reflect the artist’s life, conveying the abstract, romantic and painful way in which she views the world.

TAPPAN GIVES TO FACING HISTORY

This 4th of July we’re reflecting on how to bring America together through acknowledgement and education. Artists have always had a way of expressing the past that helps us understand much more than what most history books reflect. Outside of representation, we want to work toward a more inclusive future by donating 10% of proceeds to Facing History, a non-profit that helps educators create curriculum that circles around helping students gain the skills to be empathetic members of society who are civically engaged. Until July 8th consider supporting our emerging artists and educators working to get students involved in their communities. Giveback runs June 30 - July 8.
