In her new series, Ojai-based artist Firoozeh Neman continues to explore the relationship between the feminine form and the natural landscape. Surrounded by mountains, hills, and foothills, Neman draws from the physical environment she inhabits and the emotional resonance it holds, translating these impressions into sculptural forms that feel both grounded and elemental. Her work is defined by a sense of serenity, poise, and quiet assurance, while retaining an undercurrent of unpredictability that gives each piece its distinct presence.

Central to Neman’s practice is an intuitive process rooted in surrender and discovery. Rather than determining a sculpture’s final form in advance, she allows each work to evolve organically, responding to the gestures, textures, and details that emerge along the way.
