Diatom Series: Sage
Vince Palacios' Diatom Series celebrates the quiet beauty and significance of the natural world through intimate ceramic forms inspired by microscopic diatoms. Drawn to their delicate, jewel-like structures, Palacios creates organic sculptures finished with a custom high-silica glaze that echoes the glass-like shells of these remarkable organisms. Though small in scale, the works reflect the profound role diatoms play within Earth's ecosystems, offering a poetic meditation on the idea that even the smallest forms can possess enduring beauty, importance, and presence.
