Recently featured in Apartment Therapy and Vogue Italia, multidisciplinary artist AOTH utilizes her background in design and architecture to create her dream-like paintings. AOTH’s practice draws on traditions of balance present in Feng Shui. Her gestural, fluid works consider their relationship with the angular, architectural space of both the canvas and the rooms which surround them.

STATEMENT
“Formerly of the Architecture and Design world, AOTH’s creative visual background informs her current painting style - Abstract Romanticism. Originally born and raised in KL, Malaysia, the signature koi seen in AOTH’s paintings was deeply influenced by her Chinese heritage. Working from her Denver studio, her process which she called it “dream-painting” - each gesture and color creating a feeling that can’t be fully defined as she composes in the moment. Mostly inspired by the unknown and constant curiosity that is desperately fading, AOTH’s intuitive paintings have the magic to stop time, allowing the audience to reminisce in the past, and re-live a sense of nostalgia. AOTH’s ever evolving body of work will constantly explore around and within the heart and time. “Very much like a french movie, there is always a piece of me living in these paintings and through my work, I hope people can experience the existence of emotions and embrace their lost time.” -AOTH
