Roses on a Brick Wall
Acrylic and chalk pastel on canvas
Ali Pilli's Soft Summer is a meditation on memory, nostalgia, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments. Drawing from personal recollections of summers past—seashells collected along the shore, afternoons spent reading beneath the trees, sun-ripened fruit, and fading evening skies—her paintings transform fleeting experiences into atmospheric fields of color. Soft, muted palettes become a visual language for memory, evoking emotion rather than specific places.
Working intuitively through layered washes, Pilli allows each composition to unfold gradually, echoing the way memories shift and soften over time. Rooted in warmth, wonder, and stillness, the collection invites viewers to slow down and reconnect with the simple moments that shape our deepest sense of home and belonging.
