STATEMENT
“My work explores the world that surrounds me, and the interaction between my models and the environment they are immersed in, which fluctuates between reality and non temporal, emotional scenarios. I strive to expose a permanent dialogue and conflict between figuration and abstraction through the rational construction of the drawing and the emotionality of the brushstroke. These aspects of reason and emotion, understood as fundamental parts of the human psyche, are the main axes that lead my path as an artist. The subject in my paintings are friends or women close to me, providing an intimate and transcendent sense to the work.”
