Watering Can 5
DESCRIPTION
Pencil on Japanese paper | 2020
Watering Can, Johanna Tagata Hoffbeck’s new series of pencil drawings, was inspired by works she observed in online and in-person collections. Built upon a commitment to extending art into daily life and likewise incorporating every day life into artistic practice, Johanna had a desire to bring her love of gardening into her work. The series is a way for Johanna to collect gardening tools, which she admires for their craftsmanship or historical significance.
