STATEMENT
“Through the process of creating art, I feel peace and connection to the world. Simply put, for me, creation is meditation. The mind goes blank and the body takes over. The more I understand my own experiences, the more I am drawn to capturing the essence of the feminine and the female experience. I am drawn to raw materials — perhaps because of my background in architecture, or perhaps because of my love of nature. I strive to work within the fine balance between intention and flow: I want every material used in the process to become part of the final piece, to be accessible as a discussion point, and to influence the experience of it. I want every piece to feel tangible, in both literal and metaphysical senses.” - Lisa Dengler
