Private Myths II

$ 3,500

Ink and acrylic on canvas | 2022

Highly influenced by the works of Cy Twombly, Leiko Ikemura, Joan Mitchell, Marlène Dumas, Elisabeth Cummings, and Henri Matisse, Petra Schott delicately creates colorful representations of nostalgia, freedom, and human relationships. The playful new abstract oil paintings in her Private Myths II series convey feelings of nostalgia, freedom, and most of all that ineffable connection between humans and nature. The series is about the stories, ideas and visions we tell ourselves — it is our individual life story put into paintings.

The work comes with a Certification of Authenticity signed by the Co-Founder of Tappan.
