Water has often been the subject of Petra Schott’s paintings. “Honoring the Waters VII” is a piece from a series that started in 2021. Water is one of the basic elements on earth, our bodies are predominantly made of water and our life depends on its quality. Petra Schott honors this element by acknowledging its beauty and its qualities of movement in endless hues of blue. We can feel the nourishing, cooling and cleansing quality of water that seems to pour down on us.Oil paints add a special texture and depth to this work.
