Water is one of the basic elements on earth, our bodies are predominantly made of water and our life depends on its quality. Petra Schott honors this element by acknowledging its beauty and its qualities of movement in endless hues of blue. We can feel the nourishing, cooling and cleansing quality of water that seems to pour down on us.Oil paints add a special texture and depth to this work.

Petra Schott
Petra Schott is an abstract painter whose art revolves around states of mind, longings, and memories. The artist—who had a long career as a lawyer and judge before dedicating herself to art—delicately creates colorful representations of nostalgia, freedom, and human relationships. Schott has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland, and the Czech Republic.
