Dreamscapes explores a liminal space where memory, intuition, symbolism, and sensation converge. Drawing from dreams, inner landscapes, and imagined soundscapes that seem to exist beyond space and time, Satsuki Shibuya creates immersive works that invite contemplation rather than interpretation. Veils of luminous blues, layered surfaces, and atmospheric mists drift across her paintings as forms emerge, dissolve, and reappear, echoing the fragmented nature of dreams. Embedded within these translucent layers are symbols and traces of light language that move between concealment and revelation, evoking the quiet unfolding of memory and the unseen forces that shape our inner worlds.

The works on paper serve as the intuitive foundation of the series, capturing the earliest energetic impressions through spontaneous light-language drawings whose gestural marks remain largely unobscured. These initial transmissions evolve within the larger canvas works, where successive layers of color, symbolism, and atmosphere create a dialogue between what is visible and what remains hidden.
