Rogé Girard’s abstract paintings emerge from an intuitive process rooted in gesture, energy, and the body’s memory. Drawing inspiration from Automatism, he privileges impulse and spontaneity as a way to bypass rational thought, allowing each canvas to become a dynamic field where chaos and harmony, control and freedom, meet in tension. His practice is guided by a search for a gesture that feels vivid and instinctive, carrying with it a trace of truth and an inner connection. Though resolutely abstract, his paintings often evoke the presence of landscapes and natural fragments.
