STATEMENT
“My focus has primarily been depicting the human figure, using this to express and better understand the world, my inner self, and the many facets and contradictions of being a modern person. My work has many influences, but ancient art and architecture has produced a special significance in my work throughout the last several years. In my work, I exaggerate features to illustrate significance and to also create otherworldly images.” - Shawn Polmo
