Rogé Girard (b. 1972, Quebec, Canada) is a Montreal-based artist whose practice is dedicated to non-figurative painting. His work explores the possibilities of abstraction through nuanced surfaces, layered gestures, and a distinctive approach to color and form. Girard has presented his paintings at Erga Gallery (Montreal) and at the Frieze Art Fair in Los Angeles, among other venues.
Girard is also a celebrated book illustrator, earning the Governor General’s Award of Canada twice and recognition from The New York Times for his book Haiti My Country.
