STATEMENT
“At its essence, my work has always related back to my own body; reflections of pleasure, pain, growth - inviting introspection into the ambiguity and complexity of emotions. I hope for a personal layer to manifest in my work that acts as bridge of empathy towards viewers, Multi-layered metaphysical symbiosis are translated into scenes of familiarity with surreal undertones, creating a unique, female-focused, vision, driven by imagination with feminist socio-political issues at the heart of my practice.” - Katie Burdon
