The oil on canvas work “Summer Talk” speaks of the feelings, memories, and thoughts that arise when we think of the summer season. The painting’s light composition seems as if we are looking into a summer garden from above. The green and the delicate pink/rosé tones form a contrast to lighter areas as the colors and shapes together create liveliness and lightness as we seem to feel the sun shining when we view the work.

About the Artist
Petra Schott
Petra Schott is an abstract painter whose art revolves around states of mind, longings, and memories. The artist—who had a long career as a lawyer and judge before dedicating herself to art—delicately creates colorful representations of nostalgia, freedom, and human relationships. Schott has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland, and the Czech Republic.
