About Kelsey Shultis

Kelsey Shultis is an artist working predominantly with oil paints, who lives and works in Detroit, MI and Los Angeles, CA. She studied at the Academy of Art, Architecture and Design in Prague, Czech Republic and received her BFA with honors from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design. Schultis’ work largely explores the tenuous stability of life. She represents the beings, objects and environments that we consider significant and use to define our lives, creating a dynamic record of their inevitable transitions into disorder and termination. Kelsey’s work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Princeton, Ann Arbor and Detroit.
