Cut, painted, constructed and sewn, Teschner calls the works on fabric “sculpture that is flat”. Working through ideas of three-dimensionality and the spatial concerns of sculpture and architecture, the works are on a flat plane, allowing her to address a single perspective.

One of the artist’s early sculptures, “Rule (At Dawn)” reduces the archetypal column form to its most essential planes.
