Created during the spring and early summer of 2026, the works combine nostalgic photographs from her grandparents’ film archive with more recent images drawn from her own summers and travels. Across the series, Dantz focuses on the tactile and visual textures of warmer days—rippling water, sand, rocks, palm trees, sails, and solitary figures—capturing fleeting moments that feel at once precise and open-ended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThrough the process of weaving, Dantz physically reconstructs and recontextualizes these images, allowing distinct moments to overlap, fragment, and coexist. In some works, multiple memories are intertwined within a single surface, collapsing the distance between past and present. The resulting compositions explore the instability of memory and the ways personal histories are continually reshaped through recollection.
