Paper beads on woven rafia | 2021
In his new series, titled Take Care of the Young, artist Sanaa Gateja explores the disastrous impact the Covid pandemic has had on child care facilities, including schools. Rendered in mixed-media pieces of paper beads on bark cloth or woven raffia, Gateja’s vibrant pieces are a plea to adults around the world to prioritize the welfare of our children by supporting the opening of schools.
