Screen print on archival 300gsm paper | 2022
For these new additions to the Action Paintings series, artist Luke Chiswell created a series of monochromatic screenprints to establish his own vocabulary through asemic writing—abstracting language to its furthest point by cropping and hiding titles in the work itself. The resulting screenprints are at once bold and subtle, reflecting the tension between meaning and mis-meaning, which are key themes of Chiswell’s work. The series joins Chiswell’s expansive collection of work that has been featured internationally in publications such as Hypebeast and Vogue UK.
19 x 15 inches

The work comes with a Certification of Authenticity signed by the Co-Founder of Tappan.
Featured in Hypebeast and Vogue UK, painter, sculptor and printmaker Luke Chiswell explores how the continual use of everyday objects--like skateboards and hotel stationery -- can hold a record of aspiration, error and accomplishment.
