"I was on a fishing trip recently, and our guide after finishing smoking his cigarette said the words out loud, “Cougar meat.” I couldn’t believe it when I heard it. This guy lived in a remote part of Canada and hunted for pleasure. My reaction and gut feelings towards this phrase are reflected here. The men depicted here are dogs, and the bear giraffe cougar puppets are friendly. This was one of my first experiments with colored pencils, and I love the softness created - the blue lavender grey feels like the softest dryer sheets (what a feeling) This piece also feels like scratches. Bruised."
