Acrylic ink on muslin | 2020
Cut, painted, constructed and sewn, Teschner calls the works on fabric “sculpture that is flat”. Working through ideas of three-dimensionality and the spatial concerns of sculpture and architecture, the works are on a flat plane, allowing her to address a single perspective.
This newest work centers on both the implied movement of wood-joinery diagrams, and the poetics of water as an uncuttable material.
21.75 x 16.25 inches
Floated: 29.75 x 24.25 x 2 inches
The work comes with a Certification of Authenticity signed and numbered by the Co-Founder of Tappan
