In Isolation
DESCRIPTION
Archival ink on museum-quality cotton rag paper | 2020
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, photographer Jaimie Milner turned her camera lens toward couples she admires, visiting them outside of their homes to photograph them through their windows. Feeling alone and disconnected as a single woman in isolation, Milner sought to regain a sense of hope and joy by exploring the connections of these couples. Through capturing the purity and sincerity of their love, Milner hopes to convey that despite all of the loss and sadness in our world, love prevails.

ALEXANDER MAY ON JAIMIE MILNER
“I’ve always been drawn to black and white photography throughout my life. Jaimie Milner’s images are no different in that way. I find they have a unique ability to capture an engaging contemporary story. The way she crops the image does nothing but invite you in.”
