DeSutter’s collages reconfigure high fashion editorial images taken from magazine to create reimagined abstract shapes. “For these works in particular I’m examining the basic properties of major fashion label's advertising from 2018. No matter how far I go in breaking down the original source, they are still recognizable to me through the prevalence of advertising. It’s these recognizable elements that I hope the viewer connects with in a way that opens a dialogue around how each of us see the world differently.”
