spending the night in a different bed | Ethan Caflisch Series

Conceived through extensive sketching and combining found, offcut, and new fabric, Caflisch’s spending the night in a different bed series explores color theory and abstraction through the additive process of combining textiles together to create a whole. Caflisch’s self-taught sewing process is a result of trial and error, where the nuances and vibrations of the sewing machine itself contribute to the result of the completed work.

Collector Sacha Strebe

"I THINK IT’S INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT TO SUPPORT THE NEXT GENERATION OF CREATIVES COMING THROUGH. THE MORE OUR WORLD BECOMES ENTRENCHED WITH TECHNOLOGY THE MORE WE NEED ART TO RE-FOCUS ATTENTION AWAY FROM SCREENS AND ONTO CANVASES."
