Eclectic Australian fashion brand, Gorman, teamed up with Tappan artist, Lola Rose Thompson for a capsule collection exploding with colors and vibrancy.
A proud dual Australian and US citizen, Thompson’s background was the perfect fit for Gorman’s expansion into the US market. With a penchant for painting flowers, female forms and bold, geometric patterns, her psychedelic approach to color blended seamlessly with Gorman’s boisterous aesthetic.
Lisa Gorman says
“Working with Lola on this collaboration is a celebration... explored through a textured world of sequins, digital print and glitter.”
“Working with Lola on this collaboration is a celebration on a few levels. Firstly, the marriage between Lola’s gorgeous artwork and my clothing, explored through a textured world of sequins, digital print and glitter,” said Lisa Gorman, the brand’s founder.
“Secondly a recognition of our combined Australian and American roots. I am an Australian brand now venturing into the US. Lola’s mother is Australian and she maintains family ties in our part of the world. So I feel like our coming together holds natural feeling about it and a sort of unspoken understanding of where we’ve both come from and where we’re heading.”
