Inked embossed monoprint | 2016
Humphreys’ blind embossings go beyond the formality of traditional printmaking, leaving only shape and shadow visible in an effort to draw the viewer closer. Expanding upon a playful dialogue with iconic and everyday shapes, she introduces color and optimism in an attempt to re-sensitize and connect to the tangible.
This work is a varied limited edition, commissioned exclusively for Vince.
