DESCRIPTION

Archival ink on museum-quality cotton rag paper | 2020

Visit most dining establishments around Chinatown, Manhattan, and you’ll find the iconic Sriracha chili sauce bottle sitting on the table, waiting for the many spice enthusiasts who revere the condiment to utilize it to their liking. McGoldrick was drawn to the permeation of the sauce, as well as the iconic design of the bottle before she decided to capture its primary color scheme and very much loved condition, a staple to her work of making us rethink found and used objects. “Sriracha is for meals made a mess of, meals shared, and one day soon again, meals with loved ones at our favorite dining establishments.”
