DESCRIPTION
Quilted linen, cotton, canvas, birch and brass brad frame | 2020
Using found, offset, and new fabric, this series of textile works, where the wall meets the floor, explores the translation and flattening of architectural space and perspective. Using different colored fabric to create imperfect geometric shapes, Caflisch abstractly represents the space in which the wall meets the floor, flattening it out and abstracting it into textured color field studies.
