Guest Curation
Katarina Matsson
Katarina Matsson is the Print Director for Elle Sweden and Elle Decoration. When we first came across her stunning space and impressive gallery wall we knew we had to request an edit of Tappan works, as well as a few tips for building a collection that that speaks to something more.
Katarina Matsson says:
“I’m completely in love with Sara Marlowe Hall’s Another Green World; the colors, the structure, the scope. It makes me feel as if the artist looked upon our dying Earth and with the softest touch and greatest care patched her up and healed her back to health.”

Katarina Matsson says:
“I think art is more important than ever, to help us understand and get through these troubled times. Art is a space where we can investigate social and political issues as well as personal experiences and feelings in a truly free way. I’m positive we’ll see a huge wave of innovative expressions coming out of this extremely turmoiled period. Pieces that will shed light on all these different experiences and help us understand others and ourselves better, make us see our different places in the structures and how we, as a society, can move forward. There’s something profoundly hopeful in that.”
