Just to be confusing and match this artwork to her "Wealth is Health" piece, this new original work by Bella McGoldrick looks at the same idea in a different frame. The most expensive kale one can purchase stands in high relief against a crisp white background and begs the question: what are our priorities? Does the high price of Organic Tuscan kale make it better for us? What does the branded money clip hold? This stunning work of luscious greens and gold prompts the viewer to meditate on the adage that without our health we have nothing — and ask ourselves what we have without conspicuous consumption.
