Multimedia artist Sara Marlowe Hall continues her exploration of abstract landscapes with “Surface Paintings.” Taking cues from the desert, Hall utilizes acrylic, plaster, and mixed media to create textural canvases reminiscent of the dry and expansive terrain. Rough, gritty surfaces evoke the grounds of sand and soil, while bold strokes of paint recall the harsh light of the sun and sweeping blue skies.
