Created in the artist’s LA studio as the clocks went back and the days got lighter, Sara Marlowe Hall’s new series Daylight Savings II is a visual record of time change. The resulting works on paper are studies of movement and layering, interplaying art graf and watercolor with layers of charcoal. The series is a reflection of the collective mood as the season shifts toward the warmer months; linear movements across the drawings hint at shadows and shapes play on the movement of the light in Hall’s studio.
