Andrew Steiger

Andrew Steiger was raised in the Pacific Northwest and spent his youth in nature, learning about wilderness survival and the native fish species of his home territory. It was there that he developed his love and stewardship for the natural world. He began drawing Evergreen Trees and Native Americans on kitchen cabinets in his parents home when he was young, and he continues to draw on walls. Environmental issues, Native American history, sports culture, gang culture, fish conservation and the relationship between humans and the natural world are the core columns of his work.

He became an honorary member of the Quileute Tribe (La Push, Washington) in 2014 and continues to spend time on Indian Reservations throughout Northwest Washington and British Columbia. Andrew’s primary focus is mixed media drawing.
