DESCRIPTION

Pencil on tiziano paper 160gsm | 2021

In Alarah Gee’s new series of pencil drawings, postmodern forms and recontextualized everyday objects are at once still lifes and abstract drawings. In this series, Gee’s focus on the relationship between geometric elements extends into new color relationships and a more varied approach to visual arrangements. The result is a thoughtful play on new perspectives. Curvilinear, vertical, and horizontal lines in her minimalist work are guided by a specific vision of balance and harmony created by the different rhythmic qualities of her selected medium.
